Your tax-deductible donation can help to repair Iraq by supporting an Iraqi student at DePaul University! DePaul has earmarked two four-year tuition waivers for refugees from the Iraqi Student Project, founded in Damascus by former Chicagoans Gabe Huck and Theresa Kubasak.

The rest is up to us. In August of 2009, the DePaul ISP Support Group welcomed Hala (last name supressed for security reasons). With your help since then, we have raised the funds so she could take advantage of DePaul's generosity. In August of 2012, we welcomed Safana, our second ISP student, and are committed to funding her needs through June, 2016. We are entirely volunteer here in Chicago, so 97.5% of the money raised on this site (after deducting credit card fees) goes for travel, visa and other fees, books, health expenses, and living necessities After their education here, students hope to return to Iraq, working to rebuild their war-torn country. Thanks for your help in this important and personal work, repairing the breach, one student at a time.
